Internet security firm Bkav launched an online cyber security training course on May 12, called BCSE Whitehat.
This is the first online course on cyber security being offered in Viet Nam, allowing thousands of people to study at the same time.
Available at www.BCSE.vn, the course equips participants with knowledge about cyber security, including designing a secure network system and analysing types of attacks, as well as defence solutions. This creates an important foundation for attendants to become experts in the field.
Each course lasts two months. At the moment, free pilot classes are available on the website for people interested in cyber security.
On the same day, the firm opened an international training course in English and held the first class for Cuban cyber security experts.
“Global cyber security has become more complicated with the increasing frequency of serious attacks. Since the beginning of this year, there have been more than 2,400 websites belonging to agencies and enterprises in Viet Nam that were penetrated,” Ngo Tuan Anh, vice president of Bkav's Internet security, said.
“Local cyber security experts are still inexperienced. Therefore, our training course will contribute to developing cyber security human resources to respond in a timely way [to hackers].”
